The home grown computers (Thomson etc) used SCART. Imported computers 
like the Oric and Amstrad output RGB already but anything designed 
around composite had to be converted.

Home movies wasn't really big in Europe in the 80's anyway. Some people 
drew title cards, others didn't bother. Eventually stand alone titlers 
came out and people used those. The Amiga didn't really catch on like it 
did in the US.
