As Christian pointed out, we're talking about replacing 2316s, not 6540s.

FWIW, in most places a 2716 will replace a 2316, but again, we're (also) talking about 2732s, not just 2716s; IIRC neither needs an adapter.

I believe the BASIC 2 2316 part numbers were 901447-20 through 901447-26, AKA 2316B-007 through 2316B-013.
