Well, I think it started slowly... Like 'what happens when I switch to 
24 rows after the beam has passed the 24 mark? Oh, the border 
disappears'. That's easy enough, the window in which to fip the bit is 
large enough, some people can do it in BASIC. Then you start refining it 
and wonder if you can do the same with the side border... Then you begin 
to wonder if there are other bits that might do strange things when 
changed at the right moment, all the while learning more and more about 
how the chip operates.
