As far as I know, it only ever happens to 64 bit installs.
If you or anyone else has ever encountered this on 32 bit systems,
please tell me!


I have an idea that it might be related to the file system redirection:

I do not have a clue why this happens, and why this does not happen for
everyone, though, as instcbm is available as 32 bit and as 64 bit
program, thus, people should always get the right installation.
