Hm, does this mean the TI$ in BASIC is based on the simple timers (less 
accurate?) found in both 6522 and 6526, and the TOD clock is something else? 
I never realized this, I thought TOD was just another way to refer to one of 
the timers used as a clock, but after having a brief look at the VIA and 
CIA, it seems to be a distinct difference.

Anyway, I read on Wikipedia there are over 50 million German Americans, but 
only 1.38 million who speak the language so Bo isn't alone. The numbers may 
have been higher 35 years ago, but as indicated by Bo's first post, the ROM 
dumps those must be EPROMs so nothing issued by Commodore themselves.
