From the man page of cbmctrl:

   output the directory of the disk in the specified drive
   This command gets the directory of a disk in the drive.
   <device> is the device number of the drive (bus ID).
   <drive> is the drive number of a dual drive (LUN), default is 0.

Thus, "cbmctrl dir 8" is identical to "cbmctrl dir 8 0". If you want to
access drive 1, use "cbmctrl dir 8 1".

And: No, in this case, cbmctrl enforces to open "$0" if the drive number
is omitted. Thus, it is not possible to change to drive 1 by using
another operation beforehand.
