Hi Ruud, all of my drives also still worked, even the really bad looking one I took the pictures from. Unfortunately, the affected motor PCB can only be inspected after dismounting the drive. As long as the drive is mounted inside a 8250lp, SFD-1001 or 8296-d, one can not see the PCB.
