Changing from 'conditional branches' to 'overlay' took less than two hours. That is, for the binary part. But creating the complete source codes for each version using the overlay files is a bit more difficult than I thought. My first impression was that my LST (list) file would give all the needed info but I was wrong. I thought that it was a matter of reading some addresses to find out what the length of the inserted data was. But the address after the last inserted data is missing. So the idea was to count the bytes of the last instruction. But writing the previous line the idea popped up just to insert an extra line that only holds the address where the next byte would have been inserted if there was one. It sure helps writing you :)
