Yes. Intel announced a more open "compute stick", and rumour has it that 
they are hoping to offer an HDMI-powered version:

Myself, I would prefer a somewhat "fatter client" that would incorporate 
a SATA hard disk in a small case. My "smart"TV can already play back 
video from my LAN or from USB-storage.
