There is no problem with the electronics, The TED and the PLA and 6529 are working perfectly If I repair the keyboard it will works for some time The will some keys will be dead again Now I give up, I buy or build a replacement I've seen the CKEY but no support for C116 [I have one for my sx64] And it's PS/2 not usb I'm also thinking to make a version for a non commodore machine Using also a 8x8 matrix, and similar connector -- didier -----Message d'origine----- De : email@example.com [mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org] De la part de Gerrit Heitsch Envoyé : samedi 8 novembre 2014 16:20 À : email@example.com Objet : Re: usb keyboard for commodore C116 On 11/08/2014 02:56 PM, didier derny wrote: > I have a commodore 116 but the keyboard, is always non functioning The question is, is it the keyboard that is dead or is it a hardware fault of the system? The keyboard in the C116 is handled by the little 6529B next to the modulator and TED (the largest IC). Also involved is the PLA (251641-02) which generates the _CS signal for the 6529B. If it's the keyboard, then it can be reworked (not fun but possible). If it's one of the ICs I mentioned, the keyboard adapter mentioned by someone else won't help you. Do you have another 264 system where you could test TED and the PLA? Do you have a scope where you could take a look at the output pins of the 6529B? Those are Pins 2 - 9.
