Yes, that is correct. "System dead" is not a perfect description though,
as the system is alive to the point of RAM check and telling me that
chip 1B is bad. Then the boot process is obviously halted as the system
cannot work with bad AM.

Unfortunately I am currently on vacation and will be able to work on the
system in the beginning of September :-(
