Hello,
i am working on a sample-player for the C65, and have
discovered some strange things..
First, NEVER EVER use the SID in FAST-Mode, i have
lost a precious 6581 by doing this.
I have programmed 2 Routines, one which also runs on a
C64, or on a C65 completely in Slow-Mode.
The other Routine runs in Fast-Mode and before each
Access on the SID, switches to Slow-Mode (and back).
So far so good, but the second Program is slower than
the first..
Any Ideas, why the "fast" Program is slower ?
BTW, the player is an NMI-Interrupt, and the
"main"-program just counts, to show how fast it is.
Mit freundlichen Gruessen,
Andre Kaesmacher
