D9060/D9090 C= bugfix letter from 26-Jul-1982

From: Ethan Dicks (ethan_dicks_at_yahoo.com)

I found this at the back of my docset. It's too faint to scan... I'm
transcribing it from hand. All errors are mine, yadda, yadda, yadda...

C= Commodore Update
Addendum
Affects: Disk Reference Manual
            Implementation of Rev C roms:

Date: July 26, 1982

1. Page 14, HEADER, on last paragraph - add:
Effective on Commodore 9060 and 9090 disk units, serial
numbes greater than 2313, a format drive command (such as a
HEADER command, Basic 4.0; or a New disk command, Basic < 3.0)
will take approximately 55 minutes for a 9060 disk, and 1 hour
45 minutes for a 9090 unit to properly format the disk.

2. Page 8, under NOTE - add the following:
On disk power-up, if it is necessary to test the unit to verify
that the drive is up to speed, without waiting the 60 second
delay recommended here in the Preliminary Disk Reference
Manual, units with Rev B roms would be tested by issuing
a READ (128) command to the drive. Units with Rev C roms should
issue a TEST DRIVE READY (168) command to the drive in place of
the READ command. Units with Rev C roms may be differentiated
from units from Rev B by accessing (reading) memory
location 65510 (FFE6 hex). Rev B roms will contain a 170
(AA hex) in that location, while Rev C roms will contain a
12 (0C hex).
