Hm, it actually is a C128D (plastic version). I once tried to disassemble it 
for no apparent reason, but found it to be so difficult to take apart and 
with risk of damaging something that I never completed the disassembly.

Of course I have other C64, C64C and C128 that I could compare with, if 
those produce a S-Video signal that the TV more happily will accept. It 
never struck me that it could be the case, as I found the S-Video OK when 
used with a CRT.
