Doesn't look like a prototype to me. But still a nice system.

And since it has a KU-14194HB, it is very likely that C107 and C108 
(inside the shield for VIC) are leaking and have destroyed some traces,
usually the one to Pin 15 of the 74LS629. Easy to fix once you know 
about the problem.

If you have a C64 with that board, check the caps.
