No, I'm using NetBSD. Hence, my sed is BSD sed, not GNU sed, etc.
They are mostly the same but small differences exist, such as the -i
option, and something about extended regexp syntax.

I've been copying some of my comments to the tape code. Not the actual
bit reading, but what happens after it has received a whole byte; that
part is understandable. I remember that I once looked well at the
writing code and managed to understand that part, but you have that
commented already. Mostly my hardcopy comments consist of adding a brief
description of the memory location to every memory access, which doesn't
actually help too much in understanding.
