For the drives you could start with the original ROM sources from 
http://www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/src/drives

Not sure how to handle the variants in an intuitive way. I mean the 
conditional assembly is difficult to keep the overview. Maybe translate the 
different versions into a column based layout?
