Sorry for answering this so late, but kmail chose to use a different "identity"

So, I modified the program to open the command channel, than open a direct file 
"#", do all the B-A and B-F, close the direct file then the command channel.
However, still the whole track is allocated, not just the few blocks that 
should be allocated.

So the error still persists.
