And the traces don't seem to go around the board either. Maybe four inches of trace paths. There is still some way between the output drivers and the connector you hook your monitor up to. You really don't need much to have Chroma leak onto the Luma signal. But if disconnecting Chroma gives you a real b/w picture without any color banding, then you have no problem in that respect.
