True. For the newer boards we also agreed on the schematic, which paradoxically has to be more complex. But since I like neither the 8580 ("fixed" volume change noise and different filters) nor 8565 (raster spikes and colours), I haven't yet found enough incentive to lay the PCB properly out.

Right. I had to do something in the meantime, while the ultimate replacement is not yet there.. ;-)

But I understood that you wanted to have a "carrier board" for the CPLD/Flash/all I dreamed of ...
