Nicolas Welte once uploaded a 20V8 design to be used for the UE5 on a 8296.
http://www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/firmware/computers/pet/8296/index.html

Not sure how it differs from an EPROM solution, and whether it could be
adopted to other types of PLA. At least I've understood that the most recent
SuperPLA Multi has options for C64, Plus/4, 1551, C610, C710 and 8296 UE5 so
perhaps it is possible to reuse above GAL design?
