Not really. Jim's adapters provide for larger ROMs (up to 512K I think) with
selection jumpers; you could either just ignore the extra space, select
alternate 4K images (different BASICs or option ROMs, e.g. switching between
normal and Jiffy-DOS kernels in a C64 setup), or with the addition of a
jumper and diode or two to the other ROM select pins you could combine
several or all ROMs of the same set in one chip/adapter.
