I'll never take the risk to buy one, It may be broken and I don’t have the parts nor the skills to repair a floppy disk But if someone has the parts and skill (and a dire need [due to the price] it might be interesting....) -----Message d'origine----- De : firstname.lastname@example.org [mailto:email@example.com] De la part de firstname.lastname@example.org Envoyé : dimanche 2 décembre 2012 13:55 À : email@example.com Objet : Re: 1551 found on ebay On 2012-12-02, at 13:46, Gerrit Heitsch wrote: > On 12/02/2012 01:36 PM, firstname.lastname@example.org wrote: >> http://cgi.ebay.fr/commodore-1551-Disk-Drive-fur-C16-C116-plus-4-inklusive-Stromkabel-RAR--/221156698685?pt=Klassische_Computer&hash=item337df76a3d#ht_633wt_218 >> >> not sure if it can be usefull for me… > > It's very nice if you have a C16 or Plus/4. And - as you indirectly noted - even if much better in terms of speed when compared to the 1541, it was expensive, incompatible with VC/64/128 and not easy to buy. As a result virtually nobody used them. Neither users nor programmers. This lead to the situation you described above.. -- SD!
