Some of you might know the GOP and GODIL line of products available via 
Trenz:

GODIL features Spartan-3 FPGAs whereas GOP XC9500 CPLDs.

They boards designed with original footprint and level compatibility in 
mind. For the DIY crowd, there's also the schematics included in the 
manuals.
