There are already products that do this... such as EasyFlash.  Not on SD
cards, but large enough to hold all known carts, I would think, in the "3"
version.  It even already emulates some freezer carts.  Also, the 1541U
and Chameleon both do this in addition to disk emulation.

EasyFlash 3 also does kernal ROMs also... which is unique to that unit.
