Glad you've got your FORTRAN going now...

Ah! So it looks like there are bug(s) in the 6809 emulator. There are a few other things that don't work as well - which I am attributing 
to the same issue. Perhaps I ought to upgrade to what you are using?

I was looking for a 6809 CPU validation program today - but no luck so far.

I have just downloaded what looks to be a more 'stable' 6809 emulator - I might try that instead of sim6809 which I am using at the 
moment.
