Ah... I see.  Well perhaps it's the payload returned from the INQUIRY
that changed over the years, because I know the techniques for
formatting SASI and SCSI drives on bridge cards (like the one in the
D9090/D9060 or the Adaptec ACB4000) was different than for embedded
SCSI drives (and that the new techniques did not work on older,
bridged drives on newer systems).
