years ago there was some comp.sys.cbm discussion about CGA-to-RGB
converter boards (especially the WEI-YA ACV-011). People like Fotios
hacked around this board to adopt it to a C128 RGBI signal.

In 2008 I got interested in this myself and ordered such a board. I
collected some papers and other RGBI-to-something documentation from
different people. All of this and probably a much better end result
(circuitry to convert dark yellow into brown) was documented in a bit
