Hello everyone!

This is my first posting on the list, so I thought I would say hello to
everyone subscribed.

My name is Michal Pleban and I live in Poland. I have been a loyal fan
of Commodore in my youth, which was rather unusual for my country
(Poland was dominated by Atari machines). Later I became a successful
Web entrepreneur, and decided to spend some of my money on my old love -
the Commodore computers :-)

I fell in love with the CBM-II architecture, with its raw power and
extension possibilities. These machines were unavailable in the '80s and
'90s in Poland, so I even did not know they existed. I acquired dead 610
and 720 from Ebay, and restored them to working condition.

Currently I am working on usable IEC routines for the CBM-II kernal,
based on the code from Ullrich von Bassewitz. I plan to finish them
during Christmas break, then go to further projects (like fitting 8250LP
in the 720 case, or obtaining the 8088 card and running FreeDOS on the
machine).

I'd like to say hello to all the Commodore fans on the mailing list, and
hopefully we will spend here many happy days hacking our machines ;-)

Regards,
Michau.
