iec to pet

Hi list

does anyone remember a hack to connect a 1541 or simular iec bus device
to the tape port of a pet ?
I recall haveing such a thing many years ago for my 8032sk.

Through google I can see something for the cbm 610, which looks simular,
but it uses a new kernel, the thing I had for the pet used a small
program to enable it.
