Hello André, Anders,

years ago I also worked hard with Marko Mäkelä and Nicolas Welte to find
a reliable USB-to-RS232 adapter to works well with C2N232.

I can only support the observations from Anders, where I would always
recommend to use a true RS232 port, mostly because of timing and correct
emulation of handshaking signals.

André, I could send you one of my PCI LPT port cards, some of them also
carry a true RS232 interface. I bought them to have some testing
material to find the issue with OpenCBM not working with PCI LPT port cards.
Since from different order I got cards with the very same chipset, it
would be no problem to send you one of these for some bucks. All you
would need would be a non-notebook computer. If you would need an
ExpressCard or PCMCIA adapter, I can't help.
