Thanks for the update Ethan. Sorry to hear you are so crazy busy,  
hopefully for your sake your schedule will ease up.

With the board that works with the dead CHRGEN ROM, did you have a  
chance to test it with loading and saving?
It would crash for me when I tried that.

A while back (before I actually sent you the boards)in anticipation of  
getting the boards working (very optimistic of me), I ordered Nicolas  
Welte's RAM/ROM replacement board, and his 6540/6550 boards as kits.  
Last weekend I actually had a chance to build them up. That will  
probably deal with any future issues with the Japanese motherboard. As  
for the possible dead CHARGEN ROM in the other board I believe that a  
2532 EPROM's can be used as a replacement for the 2316b...is this  
true? if so I have a few of these EPROMs hanging around and can easily  
burn one with the appropriate ROM file.
