Hello all,

Out of curiosity, I suppose there is no practical way to interface the
floppy drives from a 8250LP on a PC? I happen to have a few loose drives
which may or may not work. Previously I had some problems with a 8250LP
controller board which seemed to zap drives when plugged in.

If anyone thinks he or she may have use of some Panasonic/Matsushita
drive mechanisms, I can look up what would be the shipping costs and send
them your way. Most likely I won't have any use of them anyway.

On a related note, I have a couple of broken 3040 and 4040 drives in the
basement on which the drive mechanisms may or may not work. I tried to
trouble-shoot them previously but gave up. Some of those days I'm planning
to dispose them at the recycling station. If you would like to get spare
parts, get in touch with me and I will describe more in detail what I
still got.

And yes, I have a few PET 3000/4000/8000 series motherboards, probably
broken or partly scavenged for parts that I may get rid of too. I don't
have any friends nearby who are interested or qualified to get some use
of these scrap parts, and somehow doubt international shipping costs
alone may barely be worth sending it all.

Best regards
