If there is no "exit routine" included in the EPROM, it should be possible to write or load one that just restores all the vectors to default. I could dump the contents of my Dams interface for easier disassembly. I would bet the firmware in your cartridge is very much alike, except for all references to $Axxx are at $8xxx and of course some I/O addresses through which the cartridge communicates with the computer. I'm not sure when I'll find time to look at this, but at least I should be able to dump (read) the VIC-20 EPROM tonight.
