Very good argument!


Two additions to my yesterdays comment:
 - an 8250 can handle two drives. That can be two harddisks, an 
harddisk and a floppy drive, or an harddisk and a CD-ROM or maybe 
even a DVD-ROM.
 - when mentioning the 8250, the 8050 is meant as well. But I don't 
see any reason to exclude the 4040 and its predecessors.
