I believe Handic issued their own C64 edition of Radar Rat Race, which
happens to be the UltiMAX version rather than the C64 version later sold by
Commodore. On the other hand, just because the ROM contents equals a MAX
game doesn't mean the cartridge electronically would work the same.
Unfortunately I don't own neither.
Perhaps I don't understand all the finer electronical details, but if
somebody owns a UltiMAX machine to play around with, couldn't one build your
own cartridge as according to the memory layout? Then see what it takes to
make it bootable: whether the CIA line should be shorted or not. I get a
feeling genuine MAX cartridges are even less common than the machine itself.
