*Without* the hash? That is, "lda <addr" instead of "lda #<addr"? This
is what I have never seen. It has been some time since I used Hypra-Ass,
but I cannot remember it this way.

Using "<" for the lower part and ">" for the higher part seems
ubiquitous for me, but not without the hash sign.
