2031LP: Question on VIA connections for the IEEE VIA

Hello,

I have some questions regarding the 2031LP.

I have had a look at the 2031 service manual
(http://www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/schematics/drives/old/2031/index.html).

In file page-12r.gif (yes, I know it is for the 2031HP!), you can see
U3H (the VIA 6522 which is responsible for the IEEE bus). The following
lines are not clear to me:

CB2 (Pin 19): "PLL SYN" - where is it connected? I have not found that
              name aon any other schematic.
PB5 (Piu 15): "HD SEL" - the same as with CB2, I cannot find that name
              anywhere else.

Of course, if I am interested in the 2031*LP*, I should have a look in
the schematic for that one. Anyone, on page-30r.gif, I cannot clearly
tell if the corresponding lines of UAB1 (the chip with the same meaning
on the LP board) are not connected anywhere, as I expect it.

The bad quality of the 2031LP schematic is the reason why I am looking
at the HP schematic, too.

Can anyone confirm the CB2 and PB5 are not used at all? The same applies
to CB1, is that one used anywhere?

Why do I want to know? Currently, I am trying to build a schematic to
convert a 1541 to a drive so that it is switchable between 1541 and
2031LP mode. Of course, for this to work, I have to know the schematics
of the 2031LP exactly. It would be very bad if I forgot to connect some
lines that are needed, wouldn't it?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Regards,
   Spiro.
