Months to years. And even then...

You should use a dedicated UV EPROM eraser.

Maybe your grandma has one of those ancient "home tanners" (the ones 
which will cause skin cancer over time due to heaviest UVA and UVB 
emission) -- they (i.e. the old ones, not newer models with dedicated 
filters) usually work also.
