Hi William,

I suppose that the device number you refer to is 8 (or whatever it's set 
to)? In that case it's ok, because I have contact to the 4040. It's just 
acting weird.

The reading-head moves from outside to the middle and then the same 
repeatedly. The BAM is located on track 17, isn't it? My guess is that 
it's calibrating, trying to read the BAM, then... repeat...
