Sorry for the late answer but I've been on vacation for some days, Legoland

No answer doesn't mean no interest!  The problem is that I more often work
with a C64/1541 then with the C128/D/DCR and 1571. And second, I didn't
notice the strange behaviour you mentioned.
But that doesn't mean I'm not interested to do some tests.
