Hallo Marko,

What is your definition of "finished projects"? :)

AFAIK it simulates all commands what can be expected from a simulator. It
even simulates M-W and M-R in a way but certainly not M-E. The simulator
also is capable of handling DOS-files in 8.3 mode. What is not finished yet
is a convertor that enables one using the full capacity of the drive (as in
DOS-mode) but using the C= naming convention.

CBM-HD is capable of handling the 4030, 4040, 8050, 8250, D16 and DOS. D16
is a 'drive' with 255 tracks with 256 sectors/track.
CBM-HD supports subdirectories for all drives.
CBM-HD is capable of simulating several devices at the same time, each
equiped with two drives.
It is possible to use CBM-HD parallel with real CBM drives.
Theoretically no monitor or keyboard is needed.

Bugs? Most probably. I ran into a strange one just days ago: copying the
contents of a real 8050 to CBM-HD the last suddenly reported 'DISK FULL'. In
reality over 600 were still free. I still have to investigate that one.
The problem I and many others have: lack of time. And that has an impact on
how you test and what you test.
In case of the above problem: this copy program, provided by Commodore
(cannot remeber the name right now), I used to copy the files of dozends of
8250- and 1541/4040-floppies. And never encountered problems so far. But I
cannot tell you if the source floppies were almost completely full as this
was the case. And in above case it was the very first time I used
8050-images.

I only see Andre's project using my old IEEE interface. Reading the
readme-files doesn't give much info about its capabilities. But it based on
Vice.....
Hmmmmm, poking 128 to 1020 disables the time-out, could be interesting for
me; could mean there is a possibility I could do without my extra hardware
:)
