I can confirm that on *one* PET of our school's computer club, if you
tried the fast-print poke as we called it, the display started to act
funny. I quickly turned it off, and it still worked afterwards. I never
tried it again afterwards.

But I don't recall for sure what model it was...

Just speculating, it *could* be a 8032, since we had only one of those.
But we also had 3 original PETs (the oldest one, with a blue edge around
the screen and the cassette recorder with no "eject" button (had to lift
the top manually), upgraded to new ROMs, the slightly newer ones with
black edges had old ROMs), and later got some FAT-40s.

The poke worked ok on the other PETs, but indeed with snow on the older
