My experience with Abacus' Basic 128 Compiler is that program speed is
about
1/4th the original, i.e., a program taking one minute to run, will run in

seconds.

I was never concerned with program size, so do not recall what happened
here.

If using the Abacus' compiler, read the manual since some Basic code must
be
written in certain ways to accomodate compiling.
