No. You should see the same as with a 8032. 

When it ends up in monitor mode, does it do that with a C* or a B*? If
C*, it thinks the diagnostic sense line is held down (C* is shown if the
monitor is explicitly Called). If B*, it came there via a BRK which is
bad.
